Regardless of his age, He fearlessly fought for the rights of Baloch nation until his last breath. He was the one, who defended Balochistan and made the whole Nation proud.
Childhood

Nawab Akbar Shahbaz Khan Bugti was born on 12 July 1927 in Barkhan (right now), the ruler home of the Khetran, a Baloch tribe, to which his mother belonged. He was the eldest son of the head of Bugti tribe, Nawab Mehrab Khan Bugti, and grandson of Sir Shahbaz Khan Bugti.

He eagerly persuades his education and was committed to his studies, after the initial studies at Aitcheson College, Lahore. Akbar Khan Bugti went to Oxford University in London England for higher studies. He was in the First CSS batch of Pakistan.

After his father's demise, being the eldest son of Nawab, he turned into the 19th tumandar (head) of his tribe in 1939.  Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti had three wives and thirteen children. His sons are: Nawabzada Saleem Akbar Bugti, Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti, Nawbzada Rehan Akbar Bugti, Nawabzada Jameel Akbar bugti, Shaheed Nawabzada Salal Akbar Bugti.

Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti proceeded to pay an important job in Balochistan politics. He started his political career when he was elected in by-elections to the National Assembly of Pakistan in 1958; He served as Interior Minister of State in Feroz Khan Noon's cabinet. In early 1960's, Akbar Khan Bugti joined National Awami Party and supported their candidate from Quetta division; He won the election by heavy majority. The government offended by the khan's public endorsement of his rivals and put him behind the bars. Akbar Khan Bugti stayed detained until his discharge in the mid 1960's after an extensive craving strike.

When A lion was caged
He could not participate in 1970's elections because of murder case against him. The Federal Government named Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti as Governor of Balochistan. Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, however, demanded the non-interference in provincial politics. When the attitude of central Government became unbearable and started ruthless Military operation in Balochistan, Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti opposed the decision, when federal government refused to cease the operation, Nawab Bugti resigned as Governor of Balochistan. He held the office for eight months. After this Nawab Bugti moved to London

Last Picnic with his People in
Sangsela.
Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti always raised voice for his People and for the rights of his tribe. There are various establishments of Sui Gas in Sui and an agreement had been signed between the Locals and Government in 1953. Some way or another this agreement was not implemented, so the locals have part of complaints against the Central Government. In 2000, this agreement ended and the foundation needed to have another understanding. But Nawab Bugti pointed that administration had not fulfilled the past promises. He requested that the locals of Dera Bugti ought to be given better occupations in these gas organizations and the local young engineers who need to serve in these organizations ought to be given priority. Nawab Bugti is likewise against the foundation of new cantonments in regions like Dera Bugti, Sui and so forth. He is of the view that improvement of a zone doesn't rely upon the foundation of cantonments. If the administration is extremely genuine to build up a region, it can do it even without a cantonment there. The government should take provisional government and the locals in to confidence before taking imperative choices.

Twenty faultless Bugti residents were executed in the massacre and a significant number of them were Women and Children.

His family, who wanted an open jinaza in Quetta, didn't go to the internment; they challenged his body being secured in the coffin.

Young Nawab Akbar Bugti greeting
with M. A Jinnah
Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti was a complete history of ups and downs of Pakistan. He never spoke against federation but opposed the dictatorship, which imposed on that country for which he voted in Shahi jirga in 1948. He was the man who made Oman to agree upon handing over the Gawadr to Balochistan, Pakistan when he was minister of state. Current foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while addressing to the national assembly he mention Akbar Bugti as Loyal to state and A federalist. Nawab Akbar Bugti's grandsons are part of provisional and national assemblies. Nawbzada Gohram Bugti is member of Balochistan assembly from Dera Bugti and Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti is member national assembly.

With Nawab Bugti's martyrdom, a New war has started in Balochistan which continued for many years. The media both in Pakistan and outside have seriously condemned the killing as the "military's second greatest bumble after Bhutto's execution" and considering it a "political nightmare”. Others have compared it toward the East Bengal emergency of 1971 where military brutality in the end prompted the Bangladesh Liberation War.

Regardless of controversies and hardship, Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti will always  be  recognized as a Sher-e-Balochistan and is viewed as the best chief of the Nation. He is as yet alive in our souls as a light in a dim cell. Pakistan lost a gem, a true patriot just because of extreme use of power. Those who killed Akbar Bugti thought they eliminated the Akbar Bugti but they never knew Akbar Bugti is a thought, And they can kill a person but cannot kill his vision. He was a thought of not to say YES to brutality. Thought of following the customs no matter you lose your life. Indeed! This lone show that in a war among good and bad, the individual with the honorable points consistently wins.

Nawab Akbar Bugti Always used to say" i don’t want to die on my bed as helpless old man, i want to die as a lion in belittled for my land" And he died as he wished for .
